Dispenser for 1K PU glue
The dispenser is intended for dispensing one-component polyurethane glue in the production of tiles for children’s playgrounds made of recycled rubber.
The PLC-controlled dosing unit enables dispensing of four different adhesive quantities into four separate mixers. This allows dosing into multiple mixers without the need to adjust the amount on the display before each operation. Each dosing cycle is activated by pressing one of four buttons that can be positioned near the mixers.
Dosing is performed using a gear-type pump, ensuring high precision and consistent adhesive flow over long periods. Calibration of the pump (initiated via the PLC display) is required only when changing the type or manufacturer of the adhesive.
The system includes glue heating, ensuring proper (low) viscosity at pump entry, which results in reduced operating pressure and improved mixing with the base material.
A filter is integrated within the heating assembly to protect the dosing pump from impurities that could damage components or disrupt accurate dosing.
The dosing pump is equipped with a protection system against excessive pressure, preventing damage to the installation. A pressure gauge is separated from the adhesive flow by a membrane, eliminating the risk of malfunction due to adhesive hardening.
The glue storage container (30 liters) is thermally insulated, enabling rapid heating and stable maintenance of working temperature. It includes a connection for refilling from an IBC or barrel via gravity feed.
An air dryer is installed on the container to prevent moisture ingress, allowing long-term storage of adhesive without hardening.
The dosing gun features continuous glue recirculation during idle periods, maintaining system temperature and preventing viscosity increase. This avoids pressure build-up within the system.
Sealing elements in the dosing gun are made of Teflon, preventing glue adhesion and ensuring clean operation without the need for frequent maintenance.
The dispenser is positioned beneath the IBC support structure to save space. The IBC is connected via a transparent flexible hose, and glue transfer is performed by gravity.
